Focusing on one of worm features which is a very important behaviour to analyse is movement which is directly related to C. elegans health, there are different causes for a mobility loss like for example natural causes or human causes by functional foods or mutations assays, and these variations might underlying several diseases like ageing, memory loss, broken synapses, poisoning, increase longevity…

In this sense is possible to compose various kinds of experiments by observing the motion response to stimuli or non-stimuli. Depending on nature of study, these two philosophies is feasible determinate simply observing longevity (non-stimuli) and memory, food preferences… (stimuli). It is needed quantifying the motion amount by controlling environmental parameters such as temperature, light… (thermotaxis, phototaxis…), because whether this parameters are not object of study them may be cause of stimuli response harming results, unless them are the target why (i.e) is aim measure sensitivity. Motion also depends on surroundings (fluids or agar) because it can move faster or slower.
